Our History
Having previously practised as a solicitor for
a number of years, I recognise the difficulties regularly
encountered by firms in their efforts to maximise their profits
with the minimum of fee earning time lost.
In 1992, I began working as a costs draftsman
and over time I became increasingly aware that the quality
of the costing services being provided to many firms of solicitors
could be significantly improved. In 1998, I set up my own
costing business.
I wanted to offer solicitors an improvement in
the speed with which bills of costs were produced, but also
to produce bills of costs to an altogether higher standard,
both in terms of the advice given and the accuracy and presentation
of the claims for costs.
From dealing with the bills of costs of one major
client with whom we had already established an excellent working
relationship, my team and I now regularly handle claims for
costs from more than thirty firms and are in a position to
increase this number still further.
Our Philosophy
Our high standards matter to us. We pride ourselves
on the good rapport that we have with our clients, developed
through a high level of personal attention which we extend
to each of them, large or small. As a niche business, we are
in an ideal position to offer a service tailored to the needs
of each client.
We have experience of dealing with every type
of claim for costs from Legal Services Commission claim forms
through to the most complicated multi-party civil litigation
including work in the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords.
