This was the title of a recent blog entry I received from a local marketing company and it set me thinking about what makes receiving parties send us their work.
There is an obvious connection between a well drawn and accurate bill of costs which will, clearly, help the firm maximise the profit element of a case, but how does avoiding pain come into it?

The recent flurry of comment on the costs cases which indicate that interest is not recoverable where the matter has been funded by a conditional fee agreement seems to be settling down again, but for receiving party solicitors, the impact of failing to recover interest on costs has probably not yet begun to bite.
