Preparation of Points of Dispute
We have extensive experience of preparing points of dispute and advising paying parties in relation to their costs liabilities. As part of our service for receiving parties, we prepare replies to points of dispute and negotiate on behalf of receiving parties to maximise their costs recovery.

Our approach to the negotiating process when we are acting for a receiving party is to maximise the potential recovery and this begins with ensuring that an accurate and complete claim for costs is formulated. Analysis of offers, constructive dialogue with paying parties and any advice to proceed to a hearing are undertaken on a commercial basis with the protection of the paying party's position the priority. When acting for paying parties, the use of comprehensive sets of precedent points of dispute, our own spreadsheets to calculate an appropriate negotiating bracket and careful analysis of receiving parties' responses means that we are able to protect the paying party's position throughout and ensure that our client has some security and certainty if proceeding to a hearing.
